Seth Burkett

Seth Burkett is an English writer, futsal player and former professional footballer.

Seth’s first book came about as a result of football. Following a series of fortunate events, he was spotted by a scout in Brazil at the age of 18. The Boy in Brazil details a magical season spent playing professional football in Sorriso and was shortlisted for Football Book of the Year at the 2016 British Sport Book Awards.

After returning from Brazil, Seth graduated from Loughborough University with a BA in English & Sports Science and an MA in English.

He went into advertising, working for clients such as Nike and Jaguar Land Rover in copywriting and social media management.

Throughout this time, Seth continued to write. He has had seven books published, including collaborations with footballers and world-famous YouTubers, as well as fiction and non-fiction books for children.

Seth now works full-time as an author, combining his writing with school visits and workshops. He continues to play sport, most recently spending a summer playing professional football in Sri Lanka.

James Burstall

James Burstall is the global CEO of Argonon, the international production group based in London, Los Angeles, New York, Oklahoma and Glasgow. Jarod Chapman

Jarod Chapman is a Breath and Meditation Teacher, Fitness Coach, Sport Masseur and Writer with over 25 years experience. He was formerly Tina Turner’s personal wellness coach for her final world tour, 2008-09, and credits her for altering his life trajectory. His media ambassador role for Slendertone, 2013-17, ignited his spark to write about all things health, wellness and fitness. He’s contributed to some of the UK’s biggest magazines, both online and editorial, and appeared on UK and European radio stations, talking on the subject of wellness.

Jarod is the co-author of ‘The Power of Yoga For Men’, a guy-friendly guide for yoga beginners, released through Bloomsbury Publishing in July 2022.

 

Anthony Clavane

Anthony Clavane was born in Leeds in 1960, a year before Don Revie became manager. He started life as a History teacher and is now chief sports writer for The Sunday Mirror and a former regional journalist of the year. His most recent book A Yorkshire Tragedy:  The Rise and Fall of a Northern Powerhouse is published by Quercus and completes his trilogy of books that examine the history of football in the North of England. Promised Land: A Northern Love Story, published in September 2009 by Yellow Jersey, won the British Sports Book of the Year Award and was named Best Football Book in May 2011. Described by David Peace as “an absorbing and compelling dissection of Leeds, the city and the club”, the book has been adapted for the stage and had its premier in Leeds in the summer of 2012. Anthony’s book, Does Your Rabbi Know You’re Here?: A Secret History of English Football, was published by Quercus in October 2012.
