Ben Williams is a former Royal Marines Commando with over a decade of experience. He served in Afghanistan and has trained Commando recruits. Williams has also founded a coaching and performance business, Vanguard Global Solutions, that trains high-profile clients in elite businesses within industries such as global banking, vehicle manufacturing, the music industry, as well as professional sporting outfits, including the England football team.

Jonathan Wilson is the founder and editor of the critically acclaimed football quarterly The Blizzard, and is one of the UK’s most successful writers of narrative sportsbooks. His latest book, Two Brothers: The Life and Times of Bobby and Jackie Charlton, was published by Little, Brown in August 2022. Jonathan’s early titles include Behind the Curtain (Orion, 2006), Nobody Ever Says Thank You (Orion, 2011), The Outsider (Orion, 2012), Angels with Dirty Faces (2016), The Barcelona Legacy (2018) and The Names Heard Long Ago: How the Golden Age of Hungarian Soccer Shaped the Modern Game (2019). He is perhaps best known for his bestselling history of the evolution of football tactics, Inverting the Pyramid, which was named Football Book of the Year in 2008, shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year award and has sold around the world. A former football correspondent of the Financial Times, he is now a columnist for The Guardian and Sports Illustrated. He lives in London.

He has been voted SJA Specialist Correspondent of the Year four times and Football Writer of the Year once. He has ghosted books with Kenny Dalglish, John Barnes and Steven Gerrard which was named sports book of the year and spent four weeks at the top of the Sunday times bestseller list. He is a judge for the Ballon d’Or, and was named in the Debretts 500 most influential people in the country. His brilliant analysis of English football, 50 Years of Hurt: The Story of England Football and Why We Never Stop Believing, was published in June 2016 by Bantam Press. Most recently he assisted Michael Carrick in writing his autobiography, Between the Lines, for Blink Publishing.

Writing for publications like Queerty’s NATIVE SON and the Swedish English-language Krull Magazine, Erick Taylor Woodby is committed to composing diverse stories and histories that chronicle the lives of individuals making a difference. Erick is the creator, host, producer, and blogger for the top-ranked Our Black Gay Diaspora Podcast, a biweekly platform where he interviews Black LGBTQ professionals who share about their countries and professions. In over 95 episodes, 25 countries have been represented.
Erick’s interest in creative communication extends to learning languages. He’s proficient in conversational Spanish and basic Swedish. Since 2008, he has visited Botswana, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Mexico, Latvia, Norway, South Africa, Spain, and Sweden.
Currently, Erick is co-authoring a project for Orion Publishing Group to be published in Summer 2025. As a burgeoning writer, he looks forward to more literary collaborations.

Samantha Woodham is a family law barrister considered a leader in her field in the Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, Spears and the Tatler HNW Guide. Along with fellow barrister Harry Gates, she co-founded The Divorce Surgery, the first service in the UK to enable separating couples to share one family lawyer (www.thedivorcesurgery.co.uk). She is a contributor to BBC news on family law, regularly writes about de-stigmatising divorce, was shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Women in Law Awards 2020, won Champion of the Year in the Citywealth Powerwomen of the Year Awards 2021, and was one of 40 women awarded the Government’s Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award in April 2021. Samantha and Harry have now written a book about how couples can divorce well, called ‘The Divorce Surgery: The Art of Untying the Knot’, published by Harper Collins in April 2022. It is an accessible blueprint for separating well, but also provokes a wider conversation around why we, as a society, treat divorce as a failure, and why that has to change.
